[BFix] OT: fasteners for trailer decking

I am assuming I will need a self tapping screw to get into the steel frame of the trailer.

I picked up some exterior 2 1/2 wood screws for decks with a torq bit yesterday.  I have about 5 left out of a pound box.  The torq bit worked well.  A few had extra paint/plastic in the torq hole, but overall I think they worked out better than the phillips heads I have used in the past. I got them at home depot.

If its not the regular decking screws, www.mcmaster.com has everything.

Are you talking for wood or metal decking? I think what you mean is 
square drive (not Torx) decking screws. Try Home Depot or Lowes.
