Hey Phil, I think this year could be your year!  Should be a loop race so less $$ on fuel costs for support.  There are a ton of class 3's right now so I think there is a possibilty for a class 3 pit system that is stationary so all you'd need crew wise is a few trucks to chase w/ parts.
I'm out of the OHR bus, I'm hoping to have Jerry talked into racing our 7200 in the TT class for the 1000 this year :)

Unfortunately fuel costs and entry fees are a stumbling block.
I have been there 4 or 5 times. each time I get closer, in 2005 we had a great crew and had a most awesome week before the race.
No issues at all (cept one front axle stub shaft) tell 3 hours before the race when the engine I built went south.
Accepting I was over my head in engine building expertise I contacted Paola Engines in Oregon City (they just do race engines) and found their old school engine builder very encouraging so after a near 2 year wait and more $$$ then I care to mention.  I have a very solid engine with more HP then I could ever need.
And yes I want to say I beat Baja in time, within rules. but it does take time and has a learning curve.
