[BFix] Gardening

Peat moss or horse manure works extremely well for "lightening' clay soils.

If you were closer you could stop by and load up with lots of horse manure. Dang crap (pun intended) is everywhere around here with the girl's horses.

Older stuff is great, but most urban folks tend to think if the manure is a couple years old the weed seeds in it won't germinate-wrong. Weed seeds can lie dormant well over 10 years so get whatever you can, mix it in and have fun working outside!

Well these guys told me the turkey dung was good for breaking up the clay in the soil we have here good old Utah.

We have a "worm farm" where you can buy worm casting (worm poop i.e. nice dirt) for $30.00 a pickup load and doesn't contain the same amount of phosphates that turkey and chicken poo doo. Some plants do not do well in soil that contains excessive phosphate, it inhibits germination.

      Hey guys,
Since we have all apparently modified everything thing there is to modify on our Broncos, and none us actually goes out and uses them, maybe we could talk about yard work for a while. I have been out in my yard all morning, rota tilling the garden, trimming the bushes, general crap like that. To keep it on topic, I actually did buy a couple of bags of Nutri Mulch this morning, and guess what the main ingredient is? Turkey Poo. How exciting. Now I'm off to Home Depot to dump another 100.00 or so into the Chinese economy. Any good tips? What are you guys planting?
