I guess thats where MI love you long time came from but the Moderator bounce caught me off guard and I got beat to the punch.
BTW there is no such thing as a Former Marine as "Once a Marine allways a Marine" still applies.

since you apparently missed my blatant change of direction to follow
your own shift. I never used My-Lai as an example to justify
insurrection. If you would have spent a little more time actually
reading what I wrote and less time looking for hidden meanings while
trying to find some way to work your big words into the conversation you
would have easily seen that. Your statement to that effect that I had,
is an example of that while you might be able to look up big words in
the dictionary to sprinkle into your conversations, you apparently lack
the ability to follow the subtle shifts in the same conversations.
Either that or you simply wanted to put words in my mouth to suit your
own purposes. Hard to tell from this end and I will happily withdraw
  which ever comment isn't applicable.

The My-Lai reference was wholly in reply to your
salute-the-rank-not-the-man comment where you inferred that
office-holding somehow elevated the politician to the level of the
Constitution and provided him with the same level of loyalty. My-Lai
was used to show that an officer (or office holder as per the general
thrust of this discussion) only rates and receives the
loyalty/protection of the rank as long as they uphold their own sworn
responsibilities. The office itself provides no shield (actual or
implied) to the office holder that would allow them to be released from
  liability for violating their oath.

The comment had nothing to do with any of the other items you
mentioned. Plain enough for you now? As I said this is turning into a
colossal bore so now that I have answered your apparently final burning
  question it should end.
