[BFix] NASCAR Aluminum Radiator Size

My 5.0 EFI ( 89 Mustang ) with stock Headders makes lots more heat than my 302 with Manifolds, But it takes more air to make more power just like blowing on Characoal to stoke the fire. My new EFI motor is the Howell setup with Manifolds so I will see if it matches the Heat=Power curve.

Steve Schmittgens brought it up and I am curious. If you had a 5.0/302, did you run stock exhaust manifolds? With the 351, are you running exhaust manifolds or headers?

Not saying its the cause, just curious. Steve's thinking headers cause an issue as he hasn't seen a stock exhaust manifold equipped EB have issues and I think I have not also. IRREGARDLESS, its just something I am curious about.

    Hello All,
Does anyone know what the dimensions the radiators most NASCAR teams are running? I am curious because (while I could care less about an aluminum/copper radiator debate) I am looking to put even more cooling into my truck due to the fact that I have a 351 versus the 302. With the 302/5.0 there was never a cooling issue in the slightest like most people that run one. After the 351/5.8 there are times that I wish I had more cooling surface especially out here in the Southwest desert climate. What I am looking into are the 27 1/2" or 31" universal units that you find the "roundy-round" guys use.

    Thanks,
    Matt
