[BFix] SMOG Test

Thanks for the help, I'll try to look into this next week. May even have  
some more questions : )
 
Additionally, there is a new test in CA that my 77 also failed. It is a  fuel 
tank pressurization test. the PO must have lost the keys to his locking  fuel 
cap as the seat for the cap on the filler tube is all dented up and it  
wouldn't seal with the adapter the test guy uses. So I'm thinking of going to  
pick-a-part and getting a filler tube off an f150 (or something) with the screw  
on caps and weld it onto my filler.

Here's  a few things you can try. Unhook the vacuum off the EGR valve and 
apply vacuum  to the port, if the valve is working the engine should run 
rough/die due to  the EGR pintle being opened up. You can also hook up a vacuum gauge 
to the  vacuum going to the EGR valve and see if vacuum is being applied to 
the EGR  valve when you are driving at highway speeds. You can also leave 
everything  hooked up and apply power to the control solenoid and see if it applies
