Yup, that was me.  Put a big old hole in it.  I have a metal explorer pan if you want it.  I think I paid $30 for it from somebody on the list...  I ended up modifying the stock pan.

OK, so somewhere back in my mind I seem to remember someone cracking the 
cast oilpan from their Explorer engine (Jack?) and am thinking that 
since I have the buggy apart I should go ahead and replace the pan with 
something else.

Any issues with just swapping on an EB 302 pan/oil pick-up?  Or a truck 
5.0 pan/pick-up?
