[BFix] 31 spline axles

I was just looking at some 31 spline axles for a  '77 9" inch on Complete
Off Roads Site and it said to remove the inner axle seals because the "set
20" bearings  are lubed by diff. gear lube. Is this a good thing, bad thing,
a neccessity, a matter of opinion, or none of the above ?
