You have given me valuable help since you have been on the list and I don't care to get in a long winded argument over personal views. But I don't care for people burning flags in protest period whether it's covered by any amendment. I also don't get someone getting completely bent out of shape over someone making some inane comment about hanging politicians. Seems to me that is covered under free speech and I really don't think he is plotting against the government but maybe I am wrong. I was merely poking at you and apparently it worked, although I don't think you saw the fun in it and I apologize to the list for stirring this shit up again.

Flag burning and my stance was actually covered a couple of years ago on the list.
A persons right to burn the flag is protected under the First Amendment. As is the right to a fair and speedy trial of the person who smothers the flames with the corpse of the person burning the flag in the first place.

Ive read the various responses to my recent post, and accepted the thrashing, as appropriate. My first response was to try to explain myself. Of course, as I considered the explanations, or more accurately, the excuses, I realized they all sucked.
UB is right. I know I screwed up. I apologize.
However, since most of you have never met me, I feel compelled to tell you. I believe firmly and completely in this country. I believe firmly in the men and women who put their life on the line to defend this country and to try to uphold our (The United States of America) values. I absolutely do not condone burning the flag.
