I prefer either serrated head fasteners, safety wire, or star washers in
that application. You NEVER want to use a standard split lock washer on
aluminum, it will destroy the face of the aluminum the first timwe you take
it loose.

Generally speaking I don't like lock washers. They split and leave you with
a very loose bolt. That's just me though. How about safety wire? :)

Subject: [BFix] Crank Pulley Question
Hey all,
Got a dumb crank pulley question for ya. When Eric N (gotta love that
guy..he's everywhere..and always there when u need him) and I assembled my
351w we used steel pulleys and no split washers on the crank pulley. Now
that I'm putting the WildHorses hard anodized aluminum ones on I'm asking my
self if there should be a lock washers on the crank pulley?
thanks for the input,
Mick
