That is the only place I'll accept them.<BR><BR>Safety wire & pliers are part of my trail tools. Also going with them is a tool MISF found at a gun show that allows the building of hose clamps from safety wire. One pound of .040" safety wire could make one VERY large clamp. Hello,<BR>Hey don't ever use lock washers on anything--including your lawnmower! If you need a fastener to be secure in a blind bolt hole then use a loc-tite or similiar compound. Just like Jack mentioned the other split and then the torque value placed on the fastener is totally compromised. That goes for bolting two pieces together --flat washers on either side of the pieces-- the bolt goes through and a lock nut either nylon or metal is used. There is a reason no professional race cars or the space shuttle has not lock washers.<BR> <BR>Matt<BR><BR><BR>

When Eric N (gotta love that guy..he's everywhere..and always there when u need him) and I assembled my 351w we used steel pulleys and no split washers on the crank pulley.
