I have witnessed both of the ends of the spectrum in the same country when
I was in Honduras ( a true 3rd world nation ).Where we were working building
a airstrip was a desert wasteland about 20 miles from Nicarauga and El
Salvador in San Lorenzo and I went on a R&R to the northern region to a
resort that had all the perks of home ( indoor plumbing and maid service)
and it just reminded me of a cheap but beautiful resort here in the US.There
was fishing on a HUGE lake and we even had several boats to chose from. All
for 175 american for 4 days 3 nights. The actual exchange rate through the
banks was 8 limpera per dollar but we were only allowed to exchange @ 2
limpera per dollar so we wouldnt F%$K their economy up.We lived like kings
until the Navy guys (Sea bees) got to town and drove up the price of
EVERYTHING.He He
