Can anyone recommend a dipstick for my 351w?
When I put the motor in I put on a lokar cable dipstick. I was thinking it would be like the cable dipstick on my Mustang.. That has a VERY nice cable dipstick.. But, the lokar dipstick is a cable TUBE and still a metal dipstick. It is a huge POS. You've got to keep turning and twisting the dipstick to get it all the way down the tube.. It gets hung up every couple inches.
My other complaint about it is that it's do short the handle it right next to the headers.. WOW it gets hot.. I've got to use gloves to check the oil if I've been running the engine at all!
So.. Anyone know of a replacement that's easy to push in all the way and long enough to get the handle away from the headers??

I have a 351 in my Bronco . I just used the Ford 351 oil pan that everyone
sells and have not had a problem . You may want to just look for the tube
and dipstick from that . Just a idea . Good luck .

Do a search on Ebay for 351 dipstick and there are several different styles
on there for around 12 or 13.00 each, that's where I got mine.
